This CLE is intended for practitioners with some knowledge of the practice area.
There are many pitfalls, both procedural and substantive, for the practitioner who seeks to handle landlord-tenant law whether residential, commercial, for Petitioners or Respondents. It will focus on Summary Proceedings under RPAPL Article 7. The presenters will cover a variety of topics of interest for the moderately experienced and the experienced attorney as well. This is not a beginner’s guide to Summary Proceedings although beginners will also benefit from the CLE. Our goal is to address some residential eviction rules, some commercial eviction rules, and some that are applicable to both.
